About the Role

As a Travel Physical Therapist Assistant with TNAA TotalMed Allied, you will join a busy therapy team and deliver hands-on rehabilitation care under the direction of a supervising physical therapist. This is a full-time, on-site travel position based in the Alameda area of Bernalillo County, with the assignment scheduled to begin August 3, 2026. The contract runs for 13 weeks at 40 hours per week, working 8-hour day shifts.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out treatment plans designed by the supervising physical therapist for each patient.
• Guide patients through therapeutic exercises, mobility work, and functional rehabilitation activities.
• Track patient progress and document responses to treatment accurately and on time.
• Set up therapy equipment and maintain a safe, clean treatment environment.
• Communicate clearly with patients, families, and the wider care team throughout the assignment.

Qualifications

• Active Physical Therapist Assistant licensure appropriate for practice in New Mexico.
• A minimum of 2 years of relevant clinical experience.
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
• Willingness to relocate temporarily for a 13-week travel contract.
• Additional certifications may be required prior to the start of the assignment.
