About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Design Manager to join our team at AECOM Australia Pty Ltd in Brisbane CBD. As a key member of our project management group, you will be responsible for overseeing design processes, ensuring project deliverables meet quality standards, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive successful project outcomes.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Oversee the design process from concept through to completion, ensuring all projects adhere to client requirements and regulatory standards.
• Lead a team of designers, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality deliverables are produced on time and within budget.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to develop design strategies that align with project goals and objectives.
• Review and approve design documents, ensuring compliance with company standards and industry best practices.
• Manage client relationships, providing regular updates on project progress and addressing any issues or concerns promptly.

What We're Looking For

• A minimum of 8 years' experience in a design management role within the construction or engineering industry.
• Proven track record of leading multidisciplinary teams in delivering complex projects on time and under budget.
• Strong understanding of building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with clients, team members, and other stakeholders.
• A degree in architecture, civil engineering, or a related field is required.
