The Opportunity

We are currently seeking a skilled HGV Technician to join our team at Scania Limited in Abingdon, Oxfordshire, UK, UK. As an HGV Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing heavy goods vehicles (HGVs) to ensure they operate efficiently and safely.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance checks on HGVs to identify any issues or potential problems
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems in HGVs
• Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure compliance with safety regulations
• Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repairs performed on each vehicle
• Work collaboratively with other technicians and mechanics to resolve complex issues

Who We're Looking For

We are looking for a highly skilled HGV Technician who has a passion for automotive repair and a commitment to safety. You should have:

• A minimum of 3 years' experience in heavy goods vehicle maintenance or an equivalent role
• A valid UK driving license (required)
• Technical knowledge of HGV systems, including engines, transmissions, and electrical systems
• The ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
