About the Role

Fires Services Queensland (FSQ) is currently seeking skilled and motivated Passive Fire Service Technicians to join our growing team. As a Passive Fire Service Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out routine maintenance, repairs, rectifications, installations, call-outs, and other tasks as required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conducting regular inspections and maintenance of passive fire protection systems
  • Performing repairs and rectifications to ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations
  • Installing new passive fire protection systems in accordance with design specifications
  • Responding to emergency call-outs promptly and effectively
  • Maintaining accurate records of all work performed and inspections conducted
  • Working closely with other team members, contractors, and clients to ensure smooth project execution

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Passive Fire Service Technician or similar role
  • Demonstrated knowledge of passive fire protection systems and relevant regulations
  • Strong mechanical and electrical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with clients and team members
  • A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are essential for this role
  • Possess a positive attitude and willingness to work in various environments including indoor and outdoor settings, sometimes at height
