Role Overview

As a Land Use Planning Specialist based in Perth CBD, you will collaborate with local government, planning authorities, developers, and internal stakeholders to ensure that current and future electricity network requirements are integrated into land use planning and development processes.

Core Duties

• Work closely with local government and planning authorities to align land use plans with Western Power's infrastructure needs.
• Engage with developers to incorporate energy network considerations into project feasibility studies, designs, and approvals.
• Conduct site assessments and provide technical advice on the impact of proposed developments on the electricity network.
• Develop and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure consistent communication and alignment across departments.

Skills & Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in land use planning, particularly within an energy or utility context.
• A tertiary qualification in a relevant field such as urban planning, environmental science, or engineering.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
• Knowledge of Western Australian planning regulations and processes.
