Class A Driver Lead at Daniels-sharpsmart in Salt Lake City, Utah

Position Summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic, customer service and team-oriented Driver Lead with a Class A license to join our dedicated transportation team. This role involves leading a team of drivers while ensuring all daily goals are met efficiently within the Salt Lake City area. You will be responsible for collecting medical waste containers from customer locations and delivering high levels of customer service daily.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of drivers, monitoring and overseeing their performance to ensure timely and efficient goal achievement.
  • Collect medical waste containers from our customer locations while maintaining a high level of customer service.
  • Ensure all transportation activities are completed in compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Perform physical tasks including heavy lifting and the loading/unloading of containment units filled with sharps and medical waste containers.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Class A license required.
  • Experience driving large trucks is essential.
  • Strong leadership skills to effectively manage a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Able to perform physical tasks such as heavy lifting.
