About the Role
For an international organization based in New York, we are seeking a REMOTE AWS DevOps specialist with experience working in an agile environment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience supporting application build and deployment in a AWS Cloud environment, specifically focusing on Continuous Integration (CI), Continuous Delivery/Deployment (CD) for automated microservices component deployment using Docker Containers, and management of AWS services.
Responsibilities include assisting with the migration of websites to AWS, ensuring availability, performance, security, and scalability of production systems, managing system creation, release, and configuration, troubleshooting and resolving issues across various application domains and platforms, conducting pre-production acceptance testing for quality assurance, providing critical system security by leveraging best practices and cloud security solutions, recommending architecture and process improvements, defining and deploying monitoring tools on the AWS platform, and maintaining automation of operational processes.
Your Responsibilities
- Assist in migrating websites to AWS
- Deploy, automate, manage, and maintain AWS cloud-based production systems
- Ensure availability, performance, security, and scalability of AWS production systems
- Manage the creation, release, and configuration of production systems
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues across various application domains and platforms
- Conduct pre-production acceptance testing for quality assurance
- Provide critical system security by leveraging best practices and cloud security solutions
- Recommend architecture and process improvements
- Define and deploy systems for metrics, logging, and monitoring on the AWS platform
- Maintain tools for automation of different operational processes
What You Bring
Candidates should hold a Bachelor or Master degree with at least 3 years of hands-on experience supporting application build and deployment in an AWS Cloud environment. A deep understanding of core DevOps practices such as Configuration Management, Continuous Integration, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and Containerization is required.
