Position Summary

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for our Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). This is a part-time position based in Portland, Maine. As a PACU RN, you will provide critical care to patients post-surgery, ensuring their safe transition from anesthesia to recovery.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Evaluate and monitor patient conditions post-anesthesia
• Administer medications as prescribed by the medical team
• Assist with patient comfort measures and pain management
• Ensure accurate documentation of patient care and treatment
• Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care

What You Bring

• A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a PACU setting
• Strong clinical skills and knowledge of post-anesthesia care procedures
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Patient-focused approach with the ability to handle stressful situations calmly
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning
