Product Owner

Rowdentech is hiring a full-time Product Owner in Bristol, UK to steer the development of vital software applications designed for operational teams working under challenging conditions.

The Opportunity

This Product Owner post at Rowdentech places you at the decision-making core for software that supports mission needs, balancing user input, technical delivery and practical outcomes. Based in Bristol, you will partner daily with a dedicated engineering group while reporting into a Principal Product Owner, ensuring priorities stay coherent and releases meet intended real-world demands. The role involves travel to a customer site around ninety minutes from Bristol roughly every fortnight, with busier periods requiring more frequent visits.

Core Duties

• Shape and maintain the product backlog so development effort stays tightly focused on operational priorities
• Translate user and stakeholder feedback into clear requirements that the software delivery team can act on
• Collaborate closely with end users and customer representatives to confirm each release is appropriate, functional and ready for its target setting
• Uphold agile practices that keep the overall product direction aligned with frontline requirements
• Drive continuous attention to user value and keep delivery progress orderly and on course

Requirements

• Eligibility for SC clearance
• A user-centred yet practical style when setting product priorities
• Proven ability to own a backlog and partner effectively with software teams, users and clients
• Willingness and ability to undertake regular travel from Bristol to customer premises
