The role requires hands-on technical expertise with specialized imaging equipment and close collaboration with radiologists and healthcare teams to ensure reliable diagnostic results for the local community.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Perform screening and diagnostic mammography examinations according to established protocols and physician orders
• Prepare patients for procedures by explaining steps, positioning them correctly, and addressing concerns to reduce anxiety
• Operate and maintain digital mammography equipment, including calibration checks and daily quality control testing
• Produce clear, properly labeled images that meet diagnostic standards and assist radiologists with additional views when needed
• Document patient histories, procedure details, and technical factors accurately in electronic records
• Follow strict radiation safety guidelines and infection control practices to protect patients and staff
• Clean and stock examination rooms while ensuring equipment readiness between appointments

What We're Looking For

• Current ARRT certification in Radiography with current Mammography credentials
• Valid state licensure or eligibility for radiologic technology practice in Montana
• Demonstrated experience performing mammography exams and using digital imaging systems
• Strong knowledge of breast anatomy, positioning techniques, and quality assurance standards
• Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach when working with patients of diverse backgrounds
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift and position patients as required, and maintain focus during busy imaging schedules
• Commitment to ongoing education and adherence to federal and state mammography regulations
