IAM Engineer – Tires

Continental is hiring an IAM Engineer - Tires for a full-time remote position based in Timișoara, TM, RO. This is a key role within our Information Technology division, supporting identity and access management systems across one of the world's leading tire and manufacturing organizations.

Position Summary

As an IAM Engineer at Continental's Timișoara hub, you'll design, implement, and maintain identity and access management solutions that secure our global tire manufacturing and technology operations. You'll report to our IT leadership team, working with colleagues across the organization to ensure secure, compliant access to critical systems and data. This remote role offers the flexibility to contribute to Continental's digital security infrastructure from your location while staying connected to a world-class engineering team.

What You'll Do

• Develop and manage IAM architecture, policies, and frameworks across Continental's IT infrastructure
• Administer identity platforms, directory services, and access management tools
• Configure single sign-on (SSO), multi-factor authentication (MFA), and privileged access management (PAM) systems
• Collaborate with security, compliance, and system teams to enforce access controls and regulatory requirements
• Monitor user provisioning, authentication workflows, and access request processes
• Troubleshoot identity-related issues and document solutions for operational continuity
• Participate in security audits, compliance reviews, and IAM improvement initiatives

What You Bring

• Professional experience with IAM platforms (e.g., Okta, Azure AD, Keycloak, or similar solutions)
• Strong knowledge of authentication protocols, directory services (LDAP/Active Directory), and access control models
• Familiarity with cloud identity solutions and hybrid IAM environments
• Understanding of security best practices, compliance standards (ISO 27001, GDPR), and regulatory frameworks
• Solid troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication abilities and a collaborative approach to cross-functional teamwork
• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or equivalent professional experience
