Continental is seeking an experienced Sr Quality Assurance Specialist to join our Winchester, VA team on a full-time basis. As a senior QA professional, you'll drive quality excellence across our operations while leading testing initiatives and mentoring junior team members.

What This Role Involves

In this position, you'll take ownership of quality assurance strategies that ensure our products and services meet the highest standards. Your work will span test planning, execution, and continuous improvement, with a focus on identifying and mitigating risks before they reach customers. You'll collaborate closely with development, product, and operations teams to embed quality into every stage of our processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and oversee comprehensive test strategies and test plans aligned with project requirements and business objectives
  • Execute manual and automated testing across multiple platforms, environments, and systems
  • Lead root cause analysis on defects and coordinate resolution efforts with engineering teams
  • Mentor and guide junior QA team members while fostering a quality-first culture across the organization
  • Track, analyze, and report on quality metrics, testing progress, and risk assessments
  • Translate business and technical requirements into effective testing approaches and QA strategies
  • Evaluate and implement improvements to QA processes, tools, and methodologies on an ongoing basis

Skills & Qualifications

  • 5+ years of hands-on quality assurance experience, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead QA role
  • Proficiency in manual and automated testing methodologies, frameworks, and best practices
  • Strong expertise in test case design, defect lifecycle management, and quality assurance processes
  • Experience with test automation tools and programming knowledge in languages such as Java, Python, or similar
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to work across technical and non-technical teams
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent professional experience
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor team members and drive continuous improvement initiatives
