Construction Administrator

Msconsultants is seeking a Construction Administrator for our Youngstown, Ohio office in a full-time capacity. We're looking for someone with proven expertise managing construction projects across all phases, with specialized experience in waterline, sanitary, and storm sewer infrastructure systems.

Role Overview

In this position, you'll be the operational lead for complex infrastructure construction initiatives. As a Construction Administrator at Msconsultants, you'll coordinate all aspects of on-site operations, from contractor liaison work through final project closeout. Your responsibilities will span site management, technical oversight, and field administration across our diverse portfolio of transportation, water, wastewater, architecture, and energy infrastructure projects. You'll work closely with engineers, project managers, and contractors to ensure smooth operations, solve field problems quickly, and keep projects on track for budget and schedule adherence.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Administer construction operations for projects featuring waterline, sanitary sewer, and storm sewer installation
• Conduct resident inspection and field verification activities as required by project specifications
• Maintain detailed field records, daily logs, and project documentation
• Facilitate coordination between contractors, project stakeholders, and internal teams
• Identify and resolve field issues, conflicts, and schedule concerns in real time
• Monitor project progress, costs, and productivity to identify opportunities for improvement
• Support technical construction on asphalt, concrete, water treatment, and wastewater treatment facility projects
• Ensure adherence to project specifications, safety standards, and regulatory compliance

Skills & Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience administering construction projects throughout all phases of execution
• Specialized knowledge of waterline, sanitary, and storm sewer system installation and construction
• Background with technical construction projects, ideally in infrastructure or civil works
• Exposure to asphalt, concrete, water/wastewater treatment, or related facility construction (preferred)
• Ability to interpret construction documents, plans, and technical specifications
• Excellent organizational skills with capacity to manage concurrent priorities
• Strong communication skills across all project levels
• Comfort with field documentation and construction management software
• High school diploma or equivalent; construction administration certifications a plus
• Valid driver's license required
