About This Position

We're looking for a skilled Licensed Blaster to lead explosive operations on construction projects throughout our service region. This full-time role places you at the center of critical demolition, excavation, and site prep work. Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain specialized blasting equipment and detonation systems
• Review engineered blast plans and site specifications to determine charge placement
• Prepare blast holes and set explosive charges per design requirements
• Conduct pre-detonation safety inspections and verify site clearance
• Execute blasts and monitor safety zones during and after detonation
• Document all blast activities, weather conditions, and site observations
• Communicate with project teams, safety coordinators, and construction supervisors
• Maintain full compliance with federal, state, and local blasting regulations

Qualifications

• Active Blaster's License required (or ability to obtain certification)
• Proven experience in blasting operations and explosives handling
• Deep knowledge of blasting safety codes and best practices
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Physical fitness for outdoor construction site work
• Strong attention to detail and precise documentation skills
• Excellent safety record and commitment to risk prevention
• Valid driver's license
