Travel Nurse RN – CVICU – $2,092 per week

Anders Group is hiring a full-time travel nurse RN to join our cardiac and vascular intensive care unit (CVICU) team in New Haven, Connecticut. Role Overview

As a travel nurse RN in the CVICU at our New Haven facility, you'll deliver specialized critical care to patients with acute cardiac and vascular conditions. This role is ideal for nursing professionals seeking short-term assignments with structured schedules: 36 hours per week on 12-hour night shifts. You'll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, apply advanced clinical skills, and contribute to evidence-based practice in a fast-paced, academically-focused intensive care environment.

Your Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients in the cardiac and vascular intensive care unit
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, hemodynamic parameters, and vital signs continuously
• Administer medications, manage intravenous therapy, and coordinate wound care
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other clinical staff to optimize patient outcomes
• Maintain detailed, accurate clinical documentation and communication across shifts
• Support patient and family education regarding cardiac conditions and recovery
• Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain compliance with facility standards

Skills & Qualifications

• Current RN license in Connecticut or compact state license
• Minimum 1–2 years of recent ICU nursing experience, preferably in CVICU or acute cardiac care
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required; specialty certifications valued
• Proficiency with cardiac monitoring, IV management, and ventilator-associated care
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork in high-acuity environments
• Ability to work night shifts and adapt quickly to a new clinical setting
