Maintenance and Reliability Manager

HiFyve seeks an experienced Maintenance and Reliability Manager to lead plant operations and equipment reliability at our Geneseo, Livingston County specialty chemicals manufacturing facility. This is a full-time leadership position where you'll oversee maintenance strategy and manage a dedicated team on the day shift.

Role Overview

As Maintenance and Reliability Manager at HiFyve, you'll take ownership of all plant maintenance and reliability initiatives at our Geneseo, NY operations. Working first shift (6:00 AM – 4:00 PM), you'll direct a maintenance team of approximately 10 professionals, driving operational excellence through proactive maintenance practices, equipment optimization, and continuous improvement that keeps production on track.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee all plant maintenance and reliability programs to maximize equipment uptime and production continuity
  • Supervise and develop a maintenance team, providing technical direction, coaching, and performance accountability
  • Plan and execute preventive and predictive maintenance schedules to minimize unplanned downtime
  • Coordinate with plant operations to prioritize maintenance activities and respond to urgent equipment issues
  • Monitor maintenance metrics, analyze equipment performance, and implement continuous improvement initiatives
  • Ensure strict compliance with safety protocols, OSHA standards, environmental regulations, and company policies
  • Manage maintenance budgets, resource allocation, and vendor relationships to optimize cost-effectiveness
  • Investigate equipment failures, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions

Skills & Qualifications

  • 5+ years of maintenance management or technical leadership experience in manufacturing environments
  • Strong knowledge of plant equipment, mechanical systems, and industrial reliability principles
  • Proven ability to lead, develop, and motivate technical maintenance teams
  • Experience with preventive maintenance planning, scheduling, and predictive maintenance technologies
  • Solid understanding of safety compliance, OSHA regulations, and environmental standards
  • Proficiency with maintenance management systems and computerized maintenance management software (CMMS)
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or professional maintenance certification preferred
