Project Manager

Role Overview

As a Project Manager at Stantec, you'll direct program and construction management initiatives that shape how communities and organizations function. Your expertise will guide projects through every phase—from early strategy and planning to implementation and closeout. You'll coordinate teams, manage resources, communicate with stakeholders, and ensure quality execution across diverse project types including medical facilities, airport terminals, educational institutions, public transit systems, water infrastructure, mining operations, and renewable energy installations.

Your Responsibilities

• Oversee project schedules, budgets, and deliverables to meet client expectations and organizational standards
• Lead cross-functional teams including engineers, contractors, and consultants to accomplish project goals
• Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, risk assessments, and scope management strategies
• Communicate progress, challenges, and solutions to clients, executives, and project stakeholders
• Monitor quality, safety, and compliance requirements throughout project execution
• Identify and resolve issues, adapt strategies to changing conditions, and keep projects on track
• Manage project documentation, contracts, and administrative requirements

Requirements

• 3+ years of project management experience in construction, engineering, or program management
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with competing priorities
• Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams
• Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office suite
• Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience)
• PMP, DPIA, or similar project management certification preferred
• Familiarity with construction, infrastructure, or program management best practices
