About the Role
As an Automotive Yard Worker at Pick Your Part, you'll play a critical role in our daily salvage operations. This is hands-on outdoor yard work focused on preparing vehicles for our inventory system. You'll drain fluids, remove valuable components, and ready each vehicle for yard placement using safe, efficient techniques. This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in thorough workmanship and values a productive team environment.
What You'll Do
- Drain all fluids, oils, and lubricants from vehicles in preparation for yard storage
- Remove catalytic converters, batteries, and other valuable or regulated components safely and efficiently
- Extract interior and exterior parts as assigned—trim, panels, glass, and additional components
- Operate hand and power tools appropriately and responsibly
- Follow established safety protocols and environmental regulations for fluid disposal and hazardous material handling
- Work collaboratively with team members to meet daily yard processing targets
- Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout your shift
