The Opportunity

Weyerhaeuser is hiring a full-time Process Control Engineer to lead technical initiatives that enhance manufacturing efficiency, reliability, and workplace safety. You'll be at the heart of our operations, guiding our electrical and automation teams while spearheading improvements that matter. This is a hands-on technical role for someone ready to own meaningful projects and mentor others.

Responsibilities

• Guide and mentor electrical technicians and automation staff on process systems, technical best practices, and skill development
• Diagnose and resolve operational challenges across process control systems, instrumentation, and production equipment
• Design, plan, and execute projects that strengthen facility safety standards and manufacturing performance
• Collaborate with operations and engineering teams to identify improvement opportunities and implement solutions
• Monitor process systems, analyze performance data, and recommend enhancements to workflows and equipment

What We're Looking For

• Background in electrical engineering, process automation, industrial control systems, or a closely related technical field
• Hands-on experience with process control platforms, PLCs, SCADA systems, or industrial automation
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities with attention to safety and precision
• Demonstrated ability to lead technical projects and mentor team members
• Knowledge of manufacturing environments, production safety standards, or similar industrial settings
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate across departments and explain technical concepts clearly
