AHS Staffing is hiring a Registered Nurse specializing in Oncology Medical-Surgical care for an immediate travel nursing assignment in Lewiston, Maine, Maine. This full-time, 13-week travel position offers $2,230 per week and begins July 29, 2026.

Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, evidence-based patient care to oncology medical-surgical patients across your assigned unit
• Administer medications, manage IV therapies, and monitor patient responses to treatment protocols
• Perform comprehensive assessments, create individualized care plans, and document clinical findings accurately
• Educate patients and families about treatment, side effects, and self-care strategies during recovery
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including oncologists, social workers, and support specialists
• Monitor vital signs, manage pain, and respond promptly to patient needs and changes in condition
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and adhere to facility-specific protocols and procedures

Qualifications

• Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maine or compact state
• Minimum 1–2 years of clinical nursing experience, with oncology experience preferred
• Strong foundation in medical-surgical nursing with ability to manage multiple patients
• Active BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• Excellent communication and critical-thinking skills with a patient-centered approach
• Flexibility, adaptability, and professional demeanor in fast-paced healthcare environments
• Willingness to travel and relocate temporarily for assignment duration
