Travel Nurse RN – Med Surg

Position Summary

This Travel Nurse RN position focuses on delivering high-quality care in a medical-surgical unit. Working 36 hours per week on overnight 12-hour shifts, you'll provide essential bedside care to patients recovering from surgery or managing complex medical conditions. Core Duties

• Assess and monitor patient conditions, recording vital signs and clinical observations throughout your shift
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and established protocols
• Perform wound care, dressing changes, and post-operative assessments
• Support pre-operative preparation and post-operative recovery for surgical patients
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and allied healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive patient care
• Educate patients and families on medications, treatment plans, and discharge instructions
• Maintain detailed, accurate medical records and documentation
• Ensure strict adherence to infection control standards and facility safety protocols

Who We're Looking For

• Active RN license in Georgia or another compact state
• Minimum one year of clinical nursing experience in a medical-surgical setting
• Proficiency in patient assessment, critical thinking, and clinical decision-making
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in team-based care environments
• Comfort working night shift schedules in a dynamic healthcare setting
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; ACLS and PALS certifications strongly preferred
• Professional demeanor and commitment to patient-centered care
