Trustaff is hiring a full-time registered nurse (RN) to join our Progressive Care Unit (PCU) team at a leading healthcare facility in Augusta, Georgia. This is a 16-week travel nursing assignment ideal for RNs seeking flexible, meaningful clinical work.
About This Position
Join our PCU team for a rewarding short-term nursing role in Augusta, Georgia. You'll work full-time, 36 hours per week on 12-hour day shifts, starting July 20, 2026. This travel nursing position spans 16 weeks and offers the flexibility many healthcare professionals value while providing direct patient care in a specialized unit.
What You'll Do
- Monitor and assess patients transitioning from intensive care to lower acuity settings
- Administer medications, therapies, and treatments according to established protocols
- Perform ongoing vital sign monitoring and clinical assessments
- Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and alert physicians as needed
- Educate patients and families on care plans and discharge instructions
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and interdisciplinary teams
- Document patient progress and nursing interventions thoroughly
- Maintain a safe, clean environment and follow infection control procedures
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Georgia
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Experience in PCU, step-down, or acute care nursing preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
