Operator-Relief

Ranger Energy is hiring a Relief Operator for our operations in Denver City, Yoakum County. This is a full-time position supporting active rig operations and ensuring continuity of drilling activities.

About the Role

As Relief Operator, you'll provide critical backup support to our Rig Operations team. You'll assume full operator responsibilities when primary crew members cannot complete their duties, maintaining the safety and efficiency of our drilling operations. Reporting to the Rig Manager, you'll manage all aspects of rig floor operations during your shifts.

What You'll Do

• Step into Rig Operator duties when the primary operator is unavailable, ensuring safe and continuous operations
• Coordinate and lead rig floor crews including Floor Hands and Derrick Hands
• Plan and conduct Job Safety Meetings before shifts and throughout operations
• Oversee the gathering and organization of materials, equipment, and tools required for contracted drilling services
• Operate and position the drilling rig according to operational requirements
• Maintain clear communication with management and crew members to ensure smooth daily operations

What We're Looking For

• Prior experience working as a Rig Operator or in comparable rig operations roles
• Solid understanding of drilling operations, equipment function, and safety standards
• Demonstrated ability to lead and organize work crews effectively
• Strong interpersonal and safety-focused communication skills
• Willingness to work full-time at our Denver City location in West Texas
• Physical capability to meet the demands of rig floor work
