About the Role
As a Housing Coordinator at Goodwill of SWPA, you'll play a vital role in our nonprofit's housing services program. This full-time position combines direct client support with program coordination to ensure participants access and maintain safe, affordable housing. You'll be the bridge between our clients and the resources they need to achieve housing stability and independence.
What You'll Do
- Assess client housing needs and develop individualized housing plans
- Coordinate referrals to available housing programs and community resources
- Maintain accurate case documentation and track client progress toward housing goals
- Conduct intake interviews and gather necessary information for program eligibility
- Build relationships with landlords, property managers, and housing partners to expand placement opportunities
- Provide ongoing support and follow-up to help clients sustain their housing placements
- Collaborate with social services agencies, nonprofits, and community organizations to strengthen our network
- Represent Goodwill of SWPA at community events and partner meetings to raise awareness of housing services
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated commitment to serving diverse populations
- Experience in customer service, case management, social services, or related fields is a plus
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with a mission-driven team
- Reliable transportation and valid driver's license preferred
