Program Support Generalist

University of Vermont seeks a detail-oriented Program Support Generalist to provide operational support across three key campus offices in Burlington, Vermont. Full-time position supporting the Center for Teaching and Learning, Office of Community-Engaged Learning, and Office of the Vice Provost for Faculty Affairs.

About the Role

You'll be the operational backbone of three dynamic academic offices, ensuring faculty programs and community engagement initiatives run smoothly. This role demands strong organizational skills, clear communication, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and competing priorities in a higher education environment.

What You'll Do

• Coordinate and schedule events, workshops, and professional development programs across multiple office calendars
• Draft, edit, and distribute program communications—newsletters, announcements, and promotional materials—to faculty and campus audiences
• Maintain and update program databases and tracking systems, ensuring data accuracy and accessibility
• Support event logistics: venue arrangements, catering coordination, materials preparation, and day-of management
• Manage shared calendars and scheduling systems to prevent conflicts and maximize resource utilization
• Assist with grant tracking, program assessment documentation, and compliance reporting as needed
• Serve as a first point of contact for faculty, staff, and external partners seeking program information or support

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework or relevant professional experience preferred
• Proven ability to organize multiple projects and communicate clearly with diverse groups
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, or similar productivity tools
• Experience managing databases, event coordination, or administrative scheduling
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated reliability and attention to detail
• Ability to work collaboratively across departments and adapt to evolving priorities
