About the Role

As a Pediatric Registered Nurse at Summerville Hospital, you'll deliver compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to children and adolescents. Working under the clinical direction of our Nursing Director and in collaboration with our healthcare team, you'll combine your clinical expertise with genuine care to support your patients' recovery and wellbeing.

What You'll Do

• Provide direct patient care to pediatric patients, assessing their clinical status and responding to their medical and emotional needs
• Administer medications, treatments, and therapies according to physician orders, ensuring accurate documentation and patient safety
• Monitor vital signs and clinical changes, communicating findings promptly to the care team and nursing leadership
• Work collaboratively with physicians, specialists, and interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Educate patients and families about their treatment, recovery goals, and health maintenance in age-appropriate, clear language
• Maintain a safe, clean, therapeutic environment that promotes patient comfort and dignity
• Advocate for your patients' needs, preferences, and rights throughout their hospital experience

What We're Looking For

• Current RN licensure in your state with an active, unrestricted license
• Strong knowledge of pediatric nursing principles, child development, and age-appropriate patient assessment
• Certification in pediatric nursing (PCCN or CPN) preferred, or demonstrated commitment to professional development in pediatrics
• Excellent communication skills with patients, families, and interprofessional healthcare teams
• Commitment to patient safety, clinical best practices, and healthcare quality standards
• Physical ability to meet the demands of direct patient care, including patient handling and lifting
• Professional, compassionate approach to nursing in a dynamic hospital setting
