Join Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston as a Systems Administrator for our Cell Manipulation Core Facility. This full-time position offers the opportunity to support groundbreaking cell therapy research by managing critical computer systems and infrastructure that power our Cell Therapy Networks.
About the Role
The Systems Administrator will serve as a key technical resource within the Cell Manipulation Core Facility, overseeing the deployment, maintenance, and optimization of systems that enable cell therapy research and clinical applications. You'll collaborate closely with project teams, technical staff, and leadership across Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and our Partners Healthcare System affiliates to ensure reliable, secure, and compliant technology infrastructure.
What You'll Do
- Implement, configure, and maintain computer systems across the Cell Therapy Networks
- Validate system implementations to ensure they meet departmental and program requirements
- Support core facility operations by troubleshooting technical issues and resolving system challenges
- Coordinate with Partners Healthcare System project teams and DFCI technical staff on infrastructure initiatives
- Monitor system performance and recommend upgrades or optimizations
- Document systems, configurations, and procedures for knowledge sharing and compliance
- Ensure data security and regulatory compliance across managed systems
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience as a Systems Administrator or similar IT infrastructure role
- Technical proficiency in server management, networking, and system administration
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Experience working in healthcare, research, or regulated environments (preferred)
- Excellent communication and ability to work collaboratively across teams
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent professional experience
- Knowledge of system validation and compliance requirements
