Join Imperial Trading as a Maintenance Helper and play a vital role in keeping our Harahan, Jefferson Parish facility running smoothly. We're seeking a dependable, hands-on professional to support our Maintenance Supervisor team while gaining valuable experience in facility operations and equipment care.
About the Role
This is a full-time position where you'll work directly under the guidance of our Maintenance Supervisor, learning and performing essential facility upkeep tasks. You'll be instrumental in maintaining our equipment, systems, and physical infrastructure to ensure safe, efficient operations across our Harahan location.
What You'll Do
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on facility equipment and machinery under supervisor direction
- Assist with repairs, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance activities
- Support facility cleanliness, organization, and safety protocols
- Help maintain and inventory maintenance supplies and tools
- Respond to maintenance requests and urgent facility needs as assigned
- Follow safety procedures and report any hazards or equipment issues
- Complete assigned tasks with attention to detail and strong work ethic
What We're Looking For
- Willingness to learn facility maintenance fundamentals and equipment operation
- Physical ability to perform hands-on work, including lifting, climbing, and standing for extended periods
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
- Ability to take direction and work well as part of a team
- Basic mechanical aptitude or prior maintenance experience is a plus
