Operations Manager

Ducommun, Inc. seeks an Operations Manager to oversee manufacturing operations and drive operational excellence at our Villa Park facility in Orange County. This is a full-time, on-site role leading tactical initiatives that deliver consistent results for our customers and stakeholders.

About the Role

As Operations Manager, you'll own the day-to-day execution of manufacturing processes and lead cross-functional collaboration to meet customer requirements, production targets, and profitability goals. You'll identify operational inefficiencies, implement solutions, and build a culture of continuous improvement across the team.

What You'll Do

• Direct manufacturing operations and production teams to meet schedules, quality standards, and cost targets
• Coordinate with quality, maintenance, and logistics teams to optimize workflow and resolve operational bottlenecks
• Monitor key performance indicators and report on metrics including productivity, safety, and compliance
• Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce waste
• Manage budgets, resources, and capital equipment to support operational needs
• Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, safety standards, and company policies
• Serve as the primary point of escalation for production issues and customer-related concerns

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience managing manufacturing operations, production planning, or similar operations leadership roles
• Strong understanding of lean manufacturing, process optimization, and continuous improvement methodologies
• Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Experience with manufacturing scheduling software, ERP systems, and production metrics is a plus
• Ability to balance competing priorities while maintaining focus on customer satisfaction and profitability
