Delivery Driver – Sign Up and Start Earning

DoorDash is seeking delivery drivers in Des Moines, Polk County, Iowa, to join our growing team of independent delivery professionals. As a part-time Dasher, you'll deliver food, groceries, and convenience items to hungry customers across the Des Moines area while enjoying the flexibility to set your own schedule.

About the Role

This is a part-time, independent contractor position that fits around your lifestyle. You'll handle deliveries using the DoorDash mobile app, which matches you with orders based on your availability and location. The role offers genuine flexibility—work as much or as little as you want, choosing the hours that suit your needs.

What You'll Do

• Pick up food, groceries, and retail items from restaurants and convenience stores throughout Des Moines and surrounding Polk County areas
• Deliver orders promptly and professionally to customers' addresses
• Navigate efficiently using the DoorDash app and your own knowledge of local roads
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and uphold professional standards during every delivery
• Communicate with restaurants and customers as needed to ensure order accuracy and satisfaction
• Handle cash transactions safely when required

What We're Looking For

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• At least 18 years old
• Access to a reliable personal vehicle (car, motorcycle, scooter, or bicycle depending on delivery type)
• Smartphone with the ability to install and use the DoorDash driver app
• Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach
• Ability to work independently and manage your own time
• Physical capability to carry bags of food and groceries
