About the Role
As Principal Statistical Programmer FSP, you'll take a central role in our Real World Data and Epidemiology (RWD/EPI) program, working directly with epidemiologists and biostatisticians to transform raw data into rigorous analytical foundations. Your expertise in statistical programming will be essential to designing data architectures, implementing quality controls, and advancing our epidemiological research capabilities.
What You'll Do
- Prepare and manage real-world datasets from diverse sources including medical claims, electronic health records, and clinical databases
- Design and implement statistical algorithms and data validation protocols for epidemiological analyses
- Perform data linkage across multiple datasets while maintaining integrity and security standards
- Conduct statistical programming and analysis under the direction of epidemiologists and statisticians
- Execute data coding, transformation, and feature engineering for epidemiological studies
- Provide technical guidance and strategic counsel on data analytic approaches and study designs
- Support epidemiology stakeholders in planning, executing, and documenting analyses
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure analytical quality and regulatory compliance
What We're Looking For
- Expertise in statistical programming languages (SAS, R, Python, or similar)
- Demonstrated experience preparing, validating, and analyzing real-world data
- Strong background in epidemiological or biostatistical analysis and study methodologies
- Proficiency in database management and complex data linkage techniques
- Experience with healthcare data sources and clinical research workflows
- Ability to translate analytical requirements into reproducible, efficient code
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with statisticians and domain experts
