About the Role
As a Surgical Technologist specializing in CVOR (Cardiovascular and Vascular Operating Room), you'll be a vital member of the surgical team. From pre-operative preparation through post-operative cleanup, you'll manage the operating room with the highest standards of sterility and safety, working with surgeons and nursing staff to deliver quality patient care.
What You'll Do
- Sterilize surgical instruments and prepare equipment according to established protocols
- Set up operating rooms to meet sterile field requirements and surgical specifications
- Assist surgical teams during procedures, passing instruments and supplies with precision
- Maintain sterile technique and monitor the surgical field throughout each case
- Account for and properly manage all surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies
- Follow infection prevention and safety protocols at all times
- Document sterilization records and instrument tracking as required
- Communicate effectively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nursing staff
What We're Looking For
- Current Surgical Technologist certification or eligibility to obtain certification
- Experience working in surgical settings, preferably CVOR or specialty operating rooms
- Thorough knowledge of sterilization techniques and infection control practices
- Strong ability to multitask and stay focused in a fast-paced surgical environment
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
- Team-oriented mindset with solid communication skills
