Join the Memphis Grizzlies as a Grizzline Manager in this part-time role, where you'll lead the drumline and deliver electrifying performances at FedExForum throughout the basketball season in Memphis and the surrounding DeSoto County area.
About the Role
As the Grizzline Manager, you'll play a vital role within our Live Entertainment team, overseeing all aspects of our dynamic drumline program. Working from our home base in Memphis, you'll serve as the creative and operational lead for the drumline ensemble, bringing energy and musicality to every Grizzlies and Hustle home game, plus special team promotional events throughout the season.
What You'll Do
- Direct and produce original musical performances and choreography for all drumline appearances and shows
- Manage drumline personnel, schedules, and rehearsals to ensure consistent, high-quality performances
- Create and arrange at least 1–2 new Beale Street-inspired charts annually, showcasing Memphis's musical heritage
- Coordinate drumline appearances for Grizzlies home games, Hustle events, and team promotional activities
- Collaborate with the Live Entertainment department to ensure seamless integration of drumline performances into game-day experiences
- Uphold championship-caliber production standards that match the caliber of professional basketball entertainment
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience managing or directing a drumline or percussion ensemble
- Strong musicianship and knowledge of percussion and rhythm instruments
- Experience arranging or composing music for live performance
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Familiarity with Memphis music culture and Beale Street music styles, or strong willingness to learn
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, event-driven environment
- Flexible availability to work home games and promotional events during the season
