Epic Application Analyst

Intermountain Health is seeking a Full Time Epic Application Analyst to support healthcare technology systems at our Douglas, Juneau location. This role is central to maintaining and optimizing the clinical and administrative applications that enable patient care delivery across our health system.

About the Role

As an Epic Application Analyst, you will provide essential technical support and system administration for enterprise healthcare applications. You'll collaborate with clinical, administrative, and IT teams to ensure systems run reliably, perform efficiently, and evolve to meet changing operational needs. This position combines hands-on technical work with strategic planning to advance our technology infrastructure.

What You'll Do

• Support, configure, and maintain Epic and related healthcare IT applications including electronic health records, registration systems, scheduling, billing and collections, laboratory and pathology, radiology, medical imaging, and cardiovascular systems
• Troubleshoot application issues, analyze root causes, and implement solutions with minimal disruption to clinical workflows
• Collaborate with end users and department leaders to gather requirements, design system improvements, and optimize application performance
• Plan and execute system updates, patches, and enhancements while maintaining data integrity and regulatory compliance
• Provide training and documentation to support staff adoption of new features and system changes
• Monitor system health, usage patterns, and performance metrics to identify and address bottlenecks and opportunities for improvement
• Work with external vendors and internal teams to integrate applications and resolve technical issues

What We're Looking For

• Experience with Epic systems, healthcare IT applications, or enterprise software support
• Technical foundation in systems administration, database concepts, or application management
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Customer service orientation with commitment to supporting clinical and administrative users
• Familiarity with healthcare compliance standards and data security best practices
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently as part of a collaborative team
