About the Role

As a Kitchen Designer at Home Depot in Fishkill, you'll be the trusted advisor guiding customers through one of the most important home improvement decisions they make. You'll spend your days connecting with clients, understanding their goals, and bringing their designs to life using our full range of products and services.

What You'll Do

• Meet with customers to understand their kitchen and bath design goals, preferences, and budget constraints
• Present tiered design solutions—good, better, and best options—that fit different price points and lifestyles
• Provide expert guidance on cabinetry, countertops, appliances, flooring, lighting, and installation services
• Use design software and showroom displays to visualize layouts and help customers make informed choices
• Offer product samples and materials for customers to take home and review in their own space
• Coordinate with installation teams to ensure seamless project execution
• Stay current on product offerings, design trends, and installation capabilities

What We're Looking For

• Prior experience in kitchen and bath design, home improvement retail, or a related customer-facing sales role
• Strong knowledge of design principles, kitchen layouts, and home improvement products
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to listen carefully to customer needs
• Comfort using design tools and learning new software quickly
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced showroom environment and manage multiple customer projects
• Genuine passion for helping customers create beautiful, functional spaces
