Peter Pennoyer Architects, D. seeks an Architectural Associate - Conservation to join our Conservation Division in New York City, New York. In this full-time position, you'll support a dynamic team dedicated to restoring and preserving architecturally significant, landmarked buildings throughout the region.
About the Role
Join our Conservation Division and contribute to meaningful restoration and preservation initiatives. You'll work alongside our experienced architectural team on projects involving some of the city's most important historic structures. This role offers the opportunity to deepen your expertise in conservation practice while collaborating across disciplines within our firm.
What You'll Do
- Support restoration and preservation projects on architecturally significant and landmarked buildings
- Prepare detailed documentation and technical drawings for conservation initiatives
- Collaborate with the Architectural Division on complex conservation challenges
- Conduct research and analysis to inform preservation strategies
- Assist in developing construction documents for historic building rehabilitation
- Participate in site assessments and condition documentation
What We're Looking For
- Solid background in architectural conservation principles and practices
- Experience with historic building documentation and analysis
- Strong technical drawing and CAD skills
- Knowledge of preservation standards and regulations
- Excellent communication and collaborative skills
