Assistant General Manager

About the Role

As Assistant General Manager, you'll be essential to how we operate. You'll work closely with our General Manager to oversee location performance, lead our team, and ensure we're delivering consistently excellent experiences. This role combines hands-on involvement with strategic support, giving you visibility across all aspects of our business.

What You'll Do

• Partner with the General Manager to direct location operations and achieve business goals
• Build and maintain an engaged team through effective scheduling, training, and coaching
• Uphold our brand standards and ensure every customer interaction reflects our commitment to quality
• Manage inventory, purchasing, and day-to-day administrative responsibilities
• Lead the hiring process and support team member development and advancement
• Track key operational metrics and recommend practical improvements
• Resolve customer issues thoughtfully and represent Barry's values in every interaction
• Step in for the General Manager and take on special projects as needed

What We're Looking For

• 2 or more years of operations or assistant management experience
• Demonstrated success leading and motivating people
• Strong organizational skills and careful attention to detail
• Clear communicator who builds trust with team members and customers alike
• Genuine commitment to service excellence and operational integrity
• Comfort with change and ability to manage competing priorities
• Resourcefulness and adaptability in a dynamic environment
• Working knowledge of point-of-sale systems and scheduling software (we'll provide training)
