About the Role
As Assistant Principal, you'll work alongside the Principal to advance the school's strategic priorities and educational mission. Your days will be spent on campus, observing classrooms, coaching teachers, connecting with students, and building the conditions for every learner to succeed. You'll lead initiatives that strengthen instruction, improve school culture, and engage families as partners in their children's education.
What You'll Do
- Observe classrooms and provide meaningful feedback to teachers on instructional practice
- Lead professional development and collaborative planning sessions focused on teaching quality
- Support students academically and behaviorally, modeling restorative and fair discipline practices
- Monitor student progress and use data to identify needs and celebrate successes
- Strengthen school climate through visible leadership, community building, and inclusive practices
- Work with families and community organizations to support student learning beyond the school day
- Contribute to operational efficiency through attendance tracking, scheduling, budget review, and compliance
What We're Looking For
- Valid Texas Principal certification or relevant advanced degree with classroom teaching background
- Demonstrated success in an instructional leadership role within a school
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to build trust across all stakeholder groups
- Proven ability to work collaboratively and drive school improvement initiatives
- Deep commitment to student equity and evidence-based teaching practices
