About the Role

We're looking for reliable, customer-focused individuals to join our checkout team. In this part-time position, you'll handle the critical final touchpoint of the shopping experience, ensuring every transaction is smooth, accurate, and leaves customers with a positive impression of Kroger.

What You'll Do

• Operate point-of-sale systems to ring up purchases accurately and efficiently
• Greet customers warmly and provide courteous service at the checkout counter
• Process multiple payment methods including cash, debit cards, credit cards, and digital payments
• Maintain a clean, organized checkout area and adhere to health and safety standards
• Verify customer identification and scan items carefully to ensure accuracy
• Assist customers with questions about products, promotions, or store policies
• Follow company policies and procedures while maintaining the highest standards of integrity
• Collaborate with team members to support store operations throughout your shift

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds regularly
• Excellent customer service skills and a friendly, professional demeanor
• Strong math skills and attention to detail for accurate cash handling
• Reliable attendance and willingness to work the scheduled part-time hours
• Commitment to safety, respect, honesty, and integrity in all interactions
• Basic familiarity with retail or customer service environments (helpful but not required)
