Regional Truck Driver Owner Operator

Premier Transportation is seeking an experienced Regional Truck Driver Owner Operator to join our fleet in Athens, Georgia. As an independent owner operator, you'll partner with us to move freight across regional routes with the autonomy and earning potential you've been looking for.

About the Role

This is a full-time position for a professional owner operator with at least one year of commercial trucking experience. You'll operate a dry van, hauling freight on regional lanes where you maintain control over your schedule while we guarantee the freight. Unlike traditional carrier arrangements, you're a business partner—not just another driver. We handle the logistics; you handle the road.

What You'll Do

• Transport freight safely and on-time across regional routes from the Athens area
• Maintain your dry van to DOT standards and perform routine maintenance and inspections
• Coordinate with dispatch to optimize your loads and schedule
• Ensure compliance with federal motor carrier regulations and hours-of-service requirements
• Communicate proactively with our operations team regarding delivery status and any issues
• Build a sustainable, profitable business with consistent freight opportunities

What We're Looking For

• Minimum one year of verifiable commercial trucking experience
• Valid Class A CDL with clean driving and safety record
• Your own dry van or willingness to secure financing
• Professional attitude and reliability—you show up when you commit
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and commitment to compliance
