About the Role

As a Senior Disability Representative at Sedgwick, you'll take on a leadership position within our disability claims management team. Your expertise and judgment will be essential in evaluating complex cases, ensuring accurate claim decisions, and delivering compassionate support to individuals navigating disability benefits. You'll be instrumental in maintaining the highest standards of service and compliance across your assigned caseload.

What You'll Do

• Review and evaluate disability claims, medical documentation, and supporting evidence to determine eligibility and benefits
• Communicate directly with claimants, healthcare providers, employers, and legal representatives to gather information and clarify claim details
• Make accurate, compliant claim determinations based on policy, regulations, and established procedures
• Manage a substantial caseload with professionalism and attention to detail
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior disability representatives and team members
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and quality assurance processes
• Stay current with changing disability regulations and company policies

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience as a Disability Representative or in a similar claims management role
• Strong knowledge of disability benefits programs, regulations, and claim evaluation procedures
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to analyze complex medical and vocational information with accuracy
• Demonstrated supervisory or mentoring experience
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and within a team
• Commitment to delivering exceptional service to individuals in vulnerable circumstances
