Senior Project Electrical Engineer | White Plains, NY

H2M is seeking a Senior Project Electrical Engineer to join our team in White Plains, Westchester County, New York. This is a full-time position with a firm recognized for delivering engineering excellence across multidisciplinary projects throughout the region and beyond.

About the Role

As a Senior Project Electrical Engineer at H2M, you'll take a leadership position on complex electrical engineering projects, combining technical expertise with project oversight. You'll work across architectural, civil, and environmental disciplines to deliver integrated solutions that advance our clients' goals. Your experience will guide design direction, ensure code compliance, and drive project success from conception through completion.

What You'll Do

• Lead electrical design and engineering for medium to large-scale projects in commercial, institutional, and infrastructure sectors
• Conduct site assessments, load calculations, and system design for power distribution, lighting, emergency systems, and communications
• Prepare technical specifications, construction documents, and design drawings using industry-standard software
• Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, and consultants to integrate electrical systems into comprehensive project designs
• Review contractor submittals, conduct site inspections, and provide construction administration support
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to quality control across electrical engineering deliverables
• Stay current with electrical codes, standards, and best practices in sustainable design

What We're Looking For

• Professional Engineer (PE) license in New York or ability to obtain one
• 10+ years of experience in electrical engineering design and project management
• Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC), New York State Building Code, and local regulations
• Proficiency with electrical design software and CAD platforms
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and communicate effectively with clients and consultants
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to technical detail
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
