Choreographer for Musicals (supplemental)

Join Educational Service Center of Central Ohio as a Choreographer for Musicals (supplemental) at Whitehall Yearling High School in the Whitehall City School District. We're seeking a talented choreographer to direct and develop musical productions for our students.

About the Role

This full-time position provides choreographic direction and instruction for musical theater productions at the secondary level. You'll work closely with the principal and arts department to create engaging, educational musical experiences that develop students' performance skills, artistic expression, and confidence on stage.

What You'll Do

• Create original choreography and teach dance and movement sequences for school musical productions
• Direct rehearsals and manage performance schedules for student performers
• Collaborate with music, drama, and technical theater staff to integrate choreography into full productions
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback on performance and technique
• Manage budgets and logistics related to costumes, sets, and performance materials
• Participate in curriculum development for performing arts programming

What We're Looking For

• Valid Ohio teaching certification or licensure in dance, theater, or a related performing arts discipline
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution, or equivalent alternatives the Board determines appropriate
• Current Pupil Activity Supervisor Permit
• Demonstrated experience choreographing for musical theater productions
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills working with secondary students
• Proficiency in music selection, staging concepts, and movement direction
