Carpenter Foreman

Walsh Group is hiring a Carpenter Foreman to lead our carpentry operations at the West Bartow Water Reclamation Facility in Kingston, Georgia. As an experienced carpenter leader, you'll manage crew coordination, oversee structural installation, and ensure our construction standards are met on this significant infrastructure project.

About This Position

We're seeking a skilled Carpenter Foreman with proven leadership experience to direct carpentry work on a major water facility construction project in the Kingston, GA area. This is a full-time role where you'll oversee the installation and fabrication of wooden and composite structural elements, coordinate daily work activities, and maintain the high standards Walsh Group is known for in heavy civil construction. You'll report directly to project management and play a key role in our site's success.

Your Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate a crew of 3–15 carpentry and construction employees across daily work activities
• Direct the construction, installation, and assembly of wood-framed structures, plywood systems, wallboard, and related materials
• Schedule crew assignments, manage work sequencing, and coordinate with other trades to keep the project on timeline
• Perform quality inspections and ensure all work meets building codes, safety regulations, and company standards
• Monitor material deliveries, inventory, and tool maintenance within your area of operation
• Communicate progress and challenges to project leadership and resolve on-site issues promptly

Skills & Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on carpentry experience with proven foreman or crew lead credentials
• Knowledge of heavy civil and infrastructure construction practices and techniques
• Strong leadership ability—experience supervising construction crews and motivating teams
• Solid understanding of building codes, safety standards, and OSHA compliance
• Ability to read blueprints, interpret construction documents, and plan work sequences
• Proficiency in basic math for measurement, material estimation, and site layouts
• Physical capability to perform carpentry work and work on an active construction site
• Valid driver's license and willingness to work the project schedule
