Fortune Society is hiring a full-time Case Manager for our Education & Employment Services unit, serving clients across our Long Island City and Bronx offices. This role offers the opportunity to support individuals as they pursue employment and educational goals while building a rewarding career in social services.
About This Position
As a Case Manager, you'll report to the Case Management Supervisor within our Education & Employment Services unit. This full-time, regular, non-exempt position is based in our Long Island City and Bronx locations, with standard working hours Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. The role requires occasional evening and weekend availability as needed. Compensation for this position ranges from $27.48 to $30.22 per hour, or approximately $50,000 to $55,000 annually.
What You'll Do
- Conduct intake assessments and develop individualized service plans aligned with client goals
- Identify and connect clients with employment and educational resources and opportunities
- Monitor client progress and adjust support strategies to meet evolving needs
- Maintain comprehensive, accurate case records and documentation
- Collaborate with community partners, employers, and educational institutions
- Guide clients through employment and education transitions
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in social work, human services, or related field preferred
- Demonstrated commitment to working with justice-involved and underrepresented populations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and case management abilities
- Empathy, cultural competency, and collaborative work style
- Reliable transportation to travel between office locations
