Associate Pastor – Judson Church

Judson Church in Joliet is seeking a full-time Associate Pastor to work alongside church leadership in fostering spiritual growth and strengthening community impact, with a key focus on youth and young adult ministry.

Role Overview

As Associate Pastor at Judson Church, you'll serve as a shepherd and mentor to the congregation while supporting the Lead Pastor in advancing the church's vision of transforming lives and communities through Christ. This full-time position is designed for a committed pastor with a heart for youth and young adult discipleship. You'll have meaningful opportunities to invest in the spiritual formation of junior high, high school, and young adult participants, while contributing to the broader pastoral mission of the church and its community outreach efforts.

Responsibilities

• Lead worship, teaching, and discipleship programs for youth and young adult age groups
• Partner with the Lead Pastor and ministry team to oversee congregational spiritual development
• Provide pastoral care, counsel, and spiritual guidance to congregation members across age demographics
• Design and facilitate engaging programs that connect junior high, high school, and young adult participants to their faith
• Contribute to sermon preparation and deliver messages when called upon
• Support community outreach, evangelism, and mission initiatives
• Mentor and equip volunteers in youth and young adult ministry

What We're Looking For

• Ordination or pastoral credentials in good standing with a Christian denomination, or equivalent theological training and ministry experience
• Genuine passion for youth and young adult ministry with commitment to their spiritual growth and development
• Strong teaching, preaching, and communication skills with ability to connect authentically across generations
• Proven leadership experience in church, para-church, or ministry environments
• Collaborative and team-oriented approach to ministry with openness to working alongside senior leadership and volunteers
• Deep personal Christian faith and conviction in the Gospel message
• Ability to build relationships and create welcoming, inclusive ministry environments
