Facility Security Officer

Per Mar Security Services is seeking a dedicated Facility Security Officer to join its team in Millersburg, Iowa County.

About the Role

This full‑time position offers a flexible schedule that includes overnight weekend shifts and additional weekday openings. The role provides a starting rate of $19.10 per hour and requires reliable, alert individuals who can maintain a safe environment for clients and staff.

What You'll Do

• Monitor premises and patrol assigned areas to deter and detect unauthorized activity.
• Interact professionally with visitors, employees, and contractors, using strong communication skills to address concerns and provide assistance requests.
• Remain free from personal devices while on duty.
• Conduct foot patrols, often walking for extended periods.
• Respond promptly to security and request emergency assistance as needed.
• Document observatory and maintain accurate reports of shift activities, incidents, and any safety hazards.
• Adhere to all company policies, post orders, and client-specific security procedures.

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent; prior security, law enforcement, or military experience is a plus.
• Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to stay focused and avoid personal phone use during work hours.
• Physical stamina to walk or stand for extended periods.
• Reliability, punctuality, and a strong sense of responsibility.
• Flexibility to work varied hours, including overnight weekend shifts and weekday openings as scheduled.
