RN ER Mids Part-Time

Join Community Health Systems as a Registered Nurse (RN) in our Emergency Department in Duff, Campbell County, and provide critical patient care in a dynamic, fast-paced healthcare setting. This full-time position offers the opportunity to deliver direct patient care, clinical expertise, and professional support during our mid-shift operations.

About the Role

As an Emergency Department RN, you'll be at the heart of acute patient care, using your clinical skills and judgment to manage complex cases, respond to emergencies, and support patient recovery. You'll work as a vital member of our nursing team, collaborating with physicians, advanced practice providers, and colleagues to ensure comprehensive, timely care delivery.

What You'll Do

• Assess patient conditions, vital signs, and medical histories using clinical judgment and established protocols
• Implement nursing interventions and physician/provider orders with accuracy and attention to detail
• Monitor patient progress, respond to changes in condition, and communicate findings to the healthcare team
• Coordinate and deliver high-quality care based on clinical protocols and evidence-based practice standards
• Maintain detailed, accurate patient records and documentation in accordance with healthcare regulations
• Provide emotional support and education to patients and families during stressful medical situations
• Ensure patient safety, infection control, and adherence to departmental standards

What We're Looking For

• Current RN license in good standing (or eligible for licensure in your state)
• Clinical experience in emergency nursing, acute care, or related healthcare settings preferred
• Strong critical thinking, assessment, and communication skills
• Ability to remain calm, focused, and compassionate in high-pressure environments
• Commitment to patient-centered care and collaborative teamwork
• Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and medical equipment
