About the Role

As a Class A CDL driver with Dollar General Fleet, you'll operate tractor-trailers on established regional delivery routes, transporting freight from distribution facilities to retail stores and newly opening locations across the country. Unlike long-haul trucking, this role emphasizes a predictable weekly schedule—you'll maintain steady runs that let you return home regularly while building a stable career in commercial truck driving.

What You'll Do

• Operate Class A commercial vehicles safely on assigned regional routes
• Transport merchandise from Dollar General distribution centers to retail stores and new market locations
• Conduct vehicle inspections, maintain detailed logs, and ensure compliance with DOT regulations
• Coordinate professionally with dispatch, warehouse teams, and store personnel
• Maintain an excellent safety record and meet company performance standards
• Support loading and unloading operations as needed during deliveries

What We're Looking For

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL A) with a clean driving history
• Minimum 1–2 years of professional truck driving experience
• Current DOT medical certification and ability to pass background screening
• Strong commitment to safety and regulatory compliance
• Reliable, punctual, and professional approach to work
• Physical capability to perform job duties and vehicle inspections
