About the Role
As a Retail Technician with Clean Harbors, you'll be the frontline professional collecting, handling, and disposing of hazardous waste and recyclable materials from retail locations and commercial facilities. You'll work directly with customers to ensure compliance with environmental regulations while maintaining the highest safety standards.
What You'll Do
- Collect damaged, discarded, or recalled products from retail and commercial sites
- Safely handle and transport hazardous materials including oils, oil filters, and engine fluids
- Process light bulb recycling and manage other specialized waste streams
- Perform on-site environmental cleanup and site assessments
- Maintain detailed records of collections and disposals for regulatory compliance
- Build positive relationships with customers while delivering efficient, professional service
- Follow all environmental protection and occupational safety protocols
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Willingness to obtain your CDL—we cover all training costs
- Physical capability to lift, carry, and load materials
- Attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Strong work ethic and reliability
